Hello sunshine!

Well, we haven't seen in a while and if I would be famous I could say I took a backseat ... but I'm not and I want to be honest: I had no idea what I want to tell the world and how I can make your day a little bit better with my words.
My blog has been without added value during the last month and it was more a “I have to” than “I want to”. It did not feel right anymore, and I think now it is time to change it.
But this time it is difficult, because it is not the overall look which I want to change – it is my whole presence on social media. When I started this blog, it was a project for a module in university and because I was abroad, had so much time to be creative and had the necessity to create something stunning for my class to impress my teacher. And I did! I was so motivated, and it was so much fun!
But since I’m back in Germany I had to write exams, prepare presentations, apply for internships and work every weekend… I haven’t had the time to find the inspiration I had in Scotland.

So, let’s face reality: I have changed and so my blog must follow!

After a week of brainstorming and deep thoughts (and reading the book The Why Café) I found lots of ideas for new content.
And after years of writing about Bullet Journals now is the time to reduce this part. I don’t have the time to create as much art as I would like to show you my best versions. I’m not using my good old Bullet Journal as much as I want to, and I don’t want to show you something I don’t use. Probably I will still show you my monthly setups but no longer each month and every detail. I need some time to find my balance with creativity and usefulness again.
Even so you don’t have to worry that you will never see any Bullet Journal posts ever again. I still have plans to show you some inspiration here and there!

Let's jump in a rapeseed field with new motivation and a head full of ideas!

You can look forward for new topics such as: TV series, student life and relationship or fitness.

I know some of them sound familiar, but I have big plans, great ideas and hopefully I will find the time to prepare some posts to have a little reserve for busy times.
Another change will be the language! It takes me so long to write the text and translate it afterwards and although most of my reader are German, I want to reduce it to just English. This is the language my head is using whenever I get creative – I have no idea why, but it is the way it is. So, if you want to keep reading my texts but in German, you can activate the google translation or whatever browser you are using. But as of now I will only publish English texts.

And those are my great news!
It is nothing overwhelming for you, I know. But for me, it has been a huge decision to cut back on Bullet Journal content and finally start to write about the things I currently would love to read. And I hope you will like it as well!

Hello sunshine!

it is time for a new Bullet Journal setup! And while writing this I just realized that it is April 1st - just to be on the save side: THIS IS NOT A JOKE :D
This month the theme is: Game of Thrones!

I have been thinking about the theme for a very long time, because Game of Thrones is difficult. Every inspiration I found on Pinterest was very detailed and connected with much more effort than I wanted to have. And because I had trouble using my Bullet Journal anyway I was not sure whether it was worth it to venture it.
Well, I'm still not sure but I like how it turned out.

In the end I decided to go for it, because I had the time to draw all the sketches I wanted and I was highly motivated to work on my digital drawing skills. If you haven't seen my first attempts to draw digitally, you can check out this post.

Ok, so now it is time for the first page of my April Setup: my monthly log/ monthly overview.
I went for a horizontal spread for the first time. I showed you a spread like this for #blogmas but I have never used it since then. Now it is time for this one!
I have already drawn in some appointments to show you how it will look in the end of the month with all my notes.

Bottom right I made space for important tasks to visualize my top 3 tasks for April. During the next weeks I will split up these tasks into smaller ones to have goals for each week. This way I will try to achieve my goals step by step without standing in froont of a huge task at the end of the month.

Honestly, I'm proud of my drawing of Daenerys Targaryen - so, if you couldn't recognize her, this should be Daenerys. Even if she is a bit bigger than I expected, she had to be in my Bullet Journal with this theme! Daeneris is my most favourite character and I am excited about her from the very first beginning.

Please don't be surprised about this big heading. It was for my blogpost about 50 Bullet Journal monthly theme ideas. You can read it shortly after this post.

I'm still not sure about the tracker. My habit tracker in March is the best example for a well painted page never used. For the first two weeks I tried to keep tracking but I got to a point where I had to add to much and I wasn't motivated at all. All the more irrational that I went for two tracker for April.

On the one side I have my blogtracker for all posts and ideas.

And on the other side I have my habit tracker (on the right side) and a sleep-/ study-/ moodtracker. The first box will be filled in with lines and crosses to show how much time I spend sleeping and working and how my mood was. My friend Lisa from flowersandcrownes inspired me to do this.
The other box is the basic habit tracker and for April I decided to track the following habits: Workouts, Ab Challenge (I'm doing this with a friend), Clue (using the app), Instagram picture, Instagram storie, 2x dogwalk and spend no money.

I'm just realizing that I haven't used the most basic weekly spread in 2019 so far. I always wanted to have a dark black page in my Bullet Journal but obviousely just black would be difficult to write on. So, I wen for partly black with a white quote on it from Daeneris and Khal Drogo. Btw: I loved the relationship they both had. I'm such a huge fan of those stron couples where the man is such a strong and bossy personality but for his wife he is gently and caring.

On the right bottom is a digital drawing of John Snow. I'm surprised that it actually looks that good but to be honest, I had a good template.

For April I chose a grey color to go with the theme It's my Tombow Number N75. Lately it has been to colorful for me so I wanted a quiet colour. We will see whether this is enough otherwise I will try to make a much more minimalistic design for May.
I know that I have to change something because I'm descending into to-do lists and sticky notes, which would be unnecessary if I would use my Bullet Journal the way it is meant to be. I assume/ hope that it was just the designt for March which was not the best for me and I did not like it that much.

If you haven't seen Game of Thrones yet, I would definitely recommend to do it now! The first three seasons did not catch me as much as everything from the fourth season. In my opinion the series got better and better from season to season and the final episodes will cap it all of (I hope so)

The chessmen are showing a wolf on the left and a dragon on the right side, matching to the characters I showed you so far.
Even if I told you right now, that I wanted to have these pages more "quiet" I couldn't resist from havin a galaxy pattern in those chessmen. I really like that look and that's the only colour I have used.

I have never used this box-system so far. Because of the Dutch Door the boxes on the right side are 4x9cm instead of 4x10cm, but I hope that this will not be a problem.

The space at the top of the page is slated for a quote which I would like to show on Instagram as a little tutorial. I would really like to make some changes to my Instagram feed and I'm currently figuring out what I would like to have.

In March this Double-Dutch Door was great and I think it was my most used page. So this had to be in my April Setup as well! This time it is even more extravagant because it has this little dragon on the side. And also the font is differnt. I made the first letter a bit bigger than the others and the downstroke is made thicker.

And now we are already in the last week which I don't like so far and I'm thinking about possible changes all the time. I made some black brush strokes with acrylic colour and wrote the dates on it in rosegold and white.I don't like the black colour but my boyfriend likes this page and now I'm not sure what to do with this page. If you have any ideas what I could change to make it look prettier, feel free to tell me! I would be so happy if you have some inspiration for me! :D

If you haven't seen it so far: I opened my own shop to sell all the stickers I use for my Bullet Journal. I will try to upload all Game of Thrones Sticker I used whithin the next week, so you could create your own fanpage before the last season starts.

I'm excited to use my pages now and I hope you like the design. I can't wait to see the next episodes of GoT - we have been waiting long enough!

es ist wieder Zeit für ein neues Bullet Journal Setup! Und beim Schreiben dieses Textes wird mir grade bewusst, dass dieser Post am 1.April online kommt - deshalb gleich vorweg: ES IST KEIN SCHWERZ! :D
Das Thema diesen Monat lautet: Game of Thrones!

Ich habe so lange überlegt ob ich es wirklich wagen soll Game of Thrones als Thema für mein Bullet Journal zu nehmen, da mir bei meiner Suche nach Inspiration auf Pinterest nur relativ aufwendige Bilder gefallen haben. Da ich aber in den letzten Wochen sowieso schon Probleme damit hatte mich zu motivieren mein BuJo zu benutzen, wollte ich es mit dem Aufwand nicht übertreiben.
Letztendlich habe ich mich doch dazu entschieden, weil ich die Zeit dazu hatte einige Skizzen zu machen und auch an meinen Skills für's digitale Zeichnen arbeiten wollte. Falls du meinen Post für meine ersten Zeichnungen noch nicht gesehen hast, kannst du hier gerne mal vorbei schauen.

Ok also jetzt zu meiner ersten Seite im April: meine Monatsübersicht.
Ich habe mich zum ersten Mal für eine horizontale Übersicht entschieden. Für #blogmas hatte ich mir diese Übersicht mal überlegt aber seit dem noch nie benutzt - jetzt ist es an der Zeit dafür!
Ich habe bisher schon alle meine wichtigen Termine gekennzeichnet, damit du sehen kannst wie es am Ende des Monats aussehen wird, wenn ich all meine Termine eingetragen habe.

Unten rechts habe ich mir einen Abschnitt für wichtige Aufgaben geschaffen, damit ich mir meine Top 3 Aufgaben für diesen Monat aufschreiben kann. Im Verlauf der nächsten Woche werde ich diese Aufgaben dann in Teilziele unterteilen und auf die entsprechenden Wochen verteilen, damit am Ende des Monats alles geschafft ist und ich nicht plötzlich vor einer monströsen Aufgabe stehe und daran verzweifel.

Ich muss ehrlich gesehen, dass ich ziemlich stolz auf meine Zeichnung von Daenerys bin - also wer es nicht erkannt hat: das soll Daenerys Targaryen sein. Auch wenn sie etwas groß geraten ist, musste sie unbedingt in mein Bullet Journal Setup mit rein, denn sie ist mein absoluter Lieblingscharakter in der Serie und ich bin von dieser Frau seit Beginn der ersten Staffel einfach nur so begeistert!

Bitte wundere dich nicht, diese kleine Überschrift mit 50 Bullet Journal Monthly Theme Ideas habe ich für einen Blogpost gemalt, den du dir gern gleich im Anschluss noch durchlesen kannst.

Bei den Trackern bin ich genau wie letzten Monat etwas vorsichtig. Mein Monatstracker für März ist ein typisches Beispiel dafür, wie eine Seite aussehen kann, wenn sie absolut garnicht genutzt wird. Die ersten zwei Wochen habe ich es immer wieder versucht, aber irgendwann hätte ich so viel nachtragen müssen, dass ich darauf einfach keine Lust mehr hatte.
Umso irrationaler kommt es mir grade vor, dass ich diesen Monat sogar noch mehr tracken möchte als letzten Monat :D
Zum einen habe ich wieder meinen Blogtracker für alle geplanten Blogposts und darunter genug Platz für eventuelle Ideen.

Zm anderen habe ich auf den gegenüberliegenden Seite dieses Mal nicht nur meinen Habit Tracker (ganz rechts), sondern auch einen Sleep-/ Study-/ Mood-Tracker. In der ersten Box möchte ich also mit Hilfe von Linien und Kreuzen die Zeit festhalten die ich für mein Studium und für's Schlafen aufgebracht habe und meine entsprechende Stimmung an dem Tag. Die Idee dafür habe ich mir bei Lisa abgeschaut.
Und die andere Box ist ein klassischer Habit (deutsch: Gewohnheiten) Tracker, in dem ich Workouts, Ab Challenge (eine kleine Challenge die ich mit einer Freundin zusammen mache), Clue (benutzen der App), Instagram Bilder, Instagram Stories, 2x mit dem Hund rausgehen und kein Geld ausgeben festhalten möchte.

Mir fällt grade auf, dass ich dieses Jahr noch keine so klassische Wochenübersicht verwendet habe, wie diese Woche. Ich wollte unbedingt eine Seite in meinem Bullet Journal haben, auf der Teile der Seite richtig tief Schwarz sind um darauf mit Weiß zu zeichnen.

Unten rechts habe ich ein Bild von John Schnee eingeklebt, welches ich am PC gezeichnet habe. Ich finde es ehrlich gesagt erstaunlich gut gelungen, aber ich habe mich dafür auch an einer Vorlage orientiert.

Die Farbe die ich diesen Monat als Akzentfarbe genommen habe ist mein Tombow Nummer N75. In letzter Zeit war es mir ein bisschen zu bunt geworden, weshalb ich zumindest farblich etwas ruhiger werden wollte. Es wird sich zeigen, ob ich im Mai dann eventuell ein deutlich minimalistisches Design einmal ausprobieren werde oder ob ich wieder zurück in mein System finde.
Irgendwas werde ich auf jeden Fall ändern müssen, denn ich versinke schon wieder in Notizzetteln und To-Do-Listen, die eigentlich unnötig wären, würde ich mein Bullet Journal besser strukturieren. Ich vermute/ hoffe dass es im März nur am Design gelegen hat, was mir am Ende nicht so wirklich gut gefallen hat.

Wer Game of Thrones bisher noch nicht gesehen hat, dem würde ich es auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlen, das noch nachzuholen. Die ersten drei Staffeln haben mich persönlich nicht ganz so sehr gefesselt, wie alles was danach kam. Meiner Meinung nach ist die Qualität der Serie von Staffel zu Staffel besser geworden und mit den nun Finalen Folgen, wird dem ganzen noch die Krone aufgesetzt (haha kleiner Wort.Witz :D)
Die Schachfiguren hier auf dem Bild sollen links ein Wolf und rechts einen Drachen darstellen, passend zu den zwei bisher gezeichneten Charakteren.
Auch wenn ich grade noch gesagt habe, dass ich weniger Farbe wollte, fand ich den Galaxy Hintergrund hier an dieser Stelle sehr passend, da auch der Rest der Seite sehr schlicht gestaltet ist.

Dieses Box-System habe ich bisher noch nie benutzt (oder erinnere mich nicht daran). Da ich wieder eine Dutch Door (halbe Seite) nutze, musste ich rechts die Boxen etwas kleiner machen, was aber kein Problem darstellen sollte. Links sind die Kästen also 4x10cm groß und links 4x9cm.

Den aktuell noch freien Platz auf der oberen Hälfte der linken Seiten sowohl in dieser als auch in der ersten April Woche, möchte ich noch frei lassen um eventuelle Zitate aus der Serie einzufügen. Ich möchte auf Instagram einiges umstrukturieren und da wird es wahrscheinlich (hoffentlich) ein kleines Tutorial zum Thema Lettering für diese Quotes geben.

Im März hat die Doppelte Dutch Door für mich super funkioniert und war sogar die Woche in der ich mein Bullet Journal am meisten genutzt habe, deswegen musste das im April auf jeden Fall wieder her! Dieses Mal sogar etwas extravaganter dank des Drachens unten rechts und der Schriftart für die Wochentage. Ich habe dabei den ersten Buchstaben deutlich größer gemalt und bei den abwärts Bewegungen mehr aufgedrückt um eine dickere Linie zu erzeugen und mich beim Rest des Wortes darum bemüht konstante dünne Linien zu haben.

Und damit sind wir auch schon in der letzten Woche angekommen, die mir bisher absolut garnicht gefällt und ich bin immernoch am überlegen, wie ich das ändern kann. Ich habe scharze Acrylfarbe als Hintergrund für das Datum der Wochentage gewählt, aber diese Pinselstriche gefallen mir leider gar nicht - mein Freund dagegen findet diese Seite von allen am besten. Was sagt ihr dazu? Hättet ihr eine Idee, wie ich daraus noch etwas schöneres zaubern könnte? Immer her mit euren Ideen :D

Today I want to talk about something that has been in my head for a long time. For a few weeks I had thin one question in my mind: What means the EF mission 'opening the world through education' for me?
Why have I this question in my head? Pretty simple: I want to apply as a global intern at EF.

EF Education First is a company founded in Sweden, which organizes worldwide exchange programmes, language courses, academical courses,... and this internship. Their mission is to connect people, educate, motivate and inspire people but also to delight and turn strangers into friends. Honestly, I'm a huge fan of this company.

If I had enough money to go on such a language course, I would immediately jump on a plain! But I don't have the money for that und that is exactly why this internship is a huge chance for me. And everything I need to do to apply is to answer this one question:
What means the EF mission 'opening the world through education' for me?

What is education for me?

In German we have different translations, but none of them really describes what I understand.
It is not just basic knowledge we learn in school. It is also about common knowledge, a comprehension of the world and understanding why everything is how it is. It is about values we internalize, Soft skills we acquire aimed or not. It's about cultural behaviours we may not even notice.

Why don't I learn everything in school?

The human knowledge duplicates every seven years and our school systems cannot be changed that fast to provide all information we need to know. Science makes new discoveries, technology develops new progress and cultural exchange creates new values - this happens way faster than any minister (or who else is doing this?) can change the curriculum.

School gives us the foundation! Reading, calculating and writing are basic skills we could not live without. The knowledge about complex problems, physics, chemistry and biology enable us to conceive the earth. social studies, geography and languages teach us to really understand the world - or at least they try. But how can we understand the world when we have never seen anything else than home? How can we master something, we don't even have the creativity to imagine?

Scholastic knowledge is the foundation to explore the world and experience unexpected possibilities.

Our lovely teachers give us everything we need to know the go our own way. It is up to broaden our minds, shoot for something new, get to know the unknown and never back away from difficulties.
At the end of the day our academical knowledge is just a fraction of the information offered to us.
We nee experiences and adventures. To understand our world, we need to see, feel, smell - just experience!

How could education open the world?

To progress we need to push ourselves forward and never stop, we need to be brave and never fall into sloth, we need to make mistakes an never abide in out comfort zone. A classroom it not the only place where you can learn something!
We need to get out of our comfort home and go somewhere where have never been before. Try things we have never done before and eat dishes we didn't even know that they were possible to cook!
There is so much more in this beautiful world than our little bubble.
There is culture, language, humans, places, dishes, music, buildings, art and so much more we can explore!
Every person is different und with out knowledge, experience and impressions we collect in our live, we get a voice. We can connect people, make friends across borders. It gives us the freedom to travel wherever we want to go and to start over and over again, to be creative and not only to overcome barriers but also to break them down.

Language, culture and simple geography can push people apart... it is up to us to make the exact opposite!
Education brings together, connects and gives us so much more!

So, what does 'opening the world through education' means to me?

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin

We learn much more from each other than we see or realize. The world is open to those who never back away from new knowledge, possibilities and experiences.
Education ensures that we know what is happening in the world and how we can find our way in this mess. Whenever we discover (or experience) new cultures, meet new people and get to know them, we can take inspiration and motivation from all that beautiful things. I don't know anyone who ever regret staying abroad or who had negative effect for the future live (especially working live).

Knowledge and values are the key for success and fulfilment. Both can be expanded by traveling, discovering and scrutinising.

Opening the world through education and bring each other close means giving people the opportunitie to rise. Only broad-minded people can connect others and the world is open to those who are open-minded. If you want to connect people, you need to put education first!

Success is not about winning or losing - it's about living the best life you can imagine!

EF offers an internship for 3 months in 3 countries. We will see whether or not my opinion (or my video) was good enough and whether or not I get one of those coveted job offers.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

heute möchte ich ein Thema ansprechen, das mich persönlich schon sehr lange beschäftigt. Seit mehreren Wochen trage ich diese eine Frage in meinem Kopf mit mir herum: Was bedeutet die EF Mission 'Opening the World through Education' (deutsch: Die Welt durch Bildung/ Ausbildung/ Erziehung/... öffnen) für mich?
Warum ich diese Frage im Kopf habe? Ganz einfach: Ich möchte mich als Global Intern (deutsch: globaler Praktikant) bei EF bewerben.

EF Education First ist ein in Schweden gegründetes Unternehmen, das Weltweit Austauschprogramme, Sprachreisen, Akademische Kurse, ... und eben auch dieses Praktikum anbietet. Ihre Mission ist es Menschen miteinander zu verbinden, zu bilden, zu motivieren und inspirieren, aber auch zu begeistern und aus Fremden Freunde zu machen. Ganz ehrlich: ich bin ein großer Fan von EF.

Hätte ich das Geld dafür, würde ich morgen schon in einem Flugzeug sitzen und eine dieser Sprachreisen machen! Aber leider fehlt es mir genau daran und deshalb wäre dieses Praktikum für mich eine große Chance und alles was ich dafür beantworten muss, ist diese eine Frage:
Was bedeutet 'Opening the World through Education' für mich?

Was ist in meinen Augen eigentlich 'education'?

Rein theoretisch lautet die Übersetzung davon Bildung, Ausbildung, Pädagogik, aber damit habe ich für mich noch keine Definition gefunden!
Education ist meiner Meinung nicht nur Grundlagenwissen, was uns in der Schule beigebracht wird. Es ist Allgemeinwissen, ein Verständnis von unserer Welt zu haben und zu verstehen warum die Dinge sind, wie sie sind. Es sind Werte die wir verinnerlicht haben, Softskills die wir uns nebenbei oder gezielt angeeignet habe. Es sind kulturtypische Verhaltensweisen, die man selbst nicht einmal bemerkt.

Warum lerne ich nicht alles in der Schule?

Das menschliche Wissen verdoppelt sich aller 7 Jahre und so schnell kann das Schulsystem nicht umgestellt werden, wie die Wissenschaft neue Entdeckungen macht, die Technik fortschreitet und kultureller Austausch stattfindet.

Schule gibt den Grundstein! Lesen, rechnen und schreiben sind Grundfähigkeiten ohne die leben undenkbar wäre. Das Wissen über komplexe Probleme, Physik, Chemie und Biologie ermöglicht es uns, die Welt zu begreifen. Sozialkunde, Geografie und Sprachen bringen uns bei, die Welt wirklich zu verstehen - oder versucht es zumindest.
Aber wie will man die Welt verstehen, wenn man seine Heimat nie verlassen hat? Wie will man etwas erlernen, wofür einem die Kreativität fehlt, es sich vorzustellen?

Schulisches Wissen ist der Grundbaustein, um die Welt zu entdecken und ungeahnte Möglichkeiten zu erleben.

Unsere lieben Lehrer geben uns in der Zeit die ihnen zur Verfügung steht alles mit was wir brauchen, um danach unseren eigenen Weg zu gehen. Der Rest liegt bei uns, unseren eigenen Horizont viel weiter auszubreiten, Neues anzustreben, Unbekanntes kennenlernen zu wollen und vor Schwierigkeiten nicht zurück zu schrecken.
Am Ende des Tags macht unser akademisches Wissen nur einen Bruchteil aller Informationen aus, die uns geboten werden.
Wir brauchen Erfahrungen und Abenteuer. Um unsere Welt zu verstehen, müssen wir sie gesehen, gespürt, gerochen - einfach erlebt haben!

Wie soll 'education' die Welt öffnen?

Um voran zu kommen, müssen wir uns dazu bringen vorwärts zu gehen und nicht stehen zu bleiben, mutig zu sein und nicht in Faulheit zu verfallen, Fehler zu machen und sich nicht im gewohnten Komfort zu verstecken. Ein Klassenzimmer ist nicht der einzige Ort, an dem man etwas lernt!
Wir müssen raus aus unserer bequemen Heimat und an Orte gehen, an denen wir noch nie waren. Dinge tun, die wir noch nie zuvor probiert haben und Speisen essen, von denen wir noch nicht einmal wussten, dass man soetwas kochen kann.
Auf dieser Welt ist so viel mehr als nur wir in unserer kleinen Blase.
Es gibt Kulturen, Sprachen, Menschen, Orte, Speisen, Musik, Bauwerke, Kunst und so vieles mehr zu entdecken!
Jeder Mensch ist unterschiedlich und mit unserem Wissen, Erfahrungen und Eindrücken die wir im Laufe unserer Zeit sammeln, geben wir uns selbst eine Stimme.
Wir können uns mit anderen Menschen verknüpfen, Freundschaften schließen die über Landesgrenzen hinausgehen. Es gibt uns die Freiheit überall hin zu gehen und jedes Mal neu anzufangen, Kreativität auszuleben und Barrieren nicht nur zu überwinden, sondern sie einzureißen.

Sprache, Kultur und die reine Geografie kann Menschen auseinander treiben lassen... Es liegt an uns daraus das genaue Gegenteil zu machen!
Education führt uns zusammen, verbindet und gibt uns so viel mehr!

Was bedeutet dann 'Opening the World through Education' für mich jetzt eigentlich?

Wir lernen von einander so vieles mehr, als nur das was wir wahrnehmen. Die Welt steht denen offen, die vor neuem Wissen, Möglichkeiten und Erfahrungen nicht zurückschrecken.
Education sorgt dafür, dass wir wissen, was in der Welt geschieht und wir unseren Weg darin finden können.
Wenn wir neue Kulturen entdecken, Menschen kennen und verstehen lernen, können wir Inspiration und Motivation für so viele andere Dinge schöpfen. Ich kenne niemanden, der einen Auslandsaufenthalt je bereut hat oder bei dem es sich auf das weitere (vor allem Berufs-)Leben negativ ausgeübt hat.

Wissen und Werte sind der Schlüssel für Erfolg und Erfüllung.
Beides kann durch reisen, entdecken und hinterfragen nur gestärkt und vergrößert werden.

Die Welt durch Bildung zu öffnen und einander näher zu bringen, heißt Menschen die Möglichkeit zu bieten zu wachsen. Nur aufgeschlossene Personen können verbinden! Mit einer weltoffenen Herangehensweise, steht einem wortwörtlich die Welt offen. Deswegen muss 'education' an erste Stelle gesetzt werden, wenn man Menschen mit einander verbinden will!

Erfolg ist nicht zu gewinnen oder zu verlieren - Es ist sein Leben so gelebt zu haben, wie man es sich erträumt hat!

EF bietet die Möglichkeit für 3 Monate in 3 verschiedenen Ländern ein Praktikum zu absolvieren. Wir werden sehen, ob ich mit meiner Meinung (bzw. meinem Video) einen dieser begehrten Plätze ergattern kann.

today it's all about a Bullet Journal. The beautiful thing about a Bullet Journal is that you can create or decorate it however you want it.
I have been using this system for more than 3 years and during the time I got more and more creative and confident. I found my way to design this journal most effective for me. And still, I have days where I have no idea what to draw or which theme to chose for the month.
To prevent this, I share 50 monthly theme ideas with you!

Today, I will not have a picture for every design idea, but a list with theme ideas you can choose from.

If you found a theme you like, it is your choice how much and how you implement it in your design.
I use at least the color of the month on every page and try to have space for a little sketch.
It could also be possible that you olny have one page with a big painting and the rest is minimalistic or you show you chosen theme big on every single page. Or you choose quotes to show your theme to mix it up with the sketches.
It is your Bullet Journal - it is your choice!
Create it however you want!

heute soll es sich wieder ganz um's Bullet Journal drehen. Das schöne an einem Bullet Journal ist der Fakt, dass du alles selbst so gestalten kannst wie du es gern möchtest.
Nachdem ich dieses System jetzt schon das dritte Jahr benutzte, bin ich mit der Zeit kreativer geworden und habe herausgefunden, was ich mag und was nicht. Und trotzdem komme ich manchmal an den Punkt, an dem es mir an Ideen fehlt, wie genau ich den nächsten Monat denn gestalten soll.
Um dem vorzubeugen habe ich heute 50 monatliche Motiv Ideen für dich.

Ich werde heute nicht für jedes einzelne Design ein Beispiel zeigen, sondern dir einfach eine Liste mit Motivideen geben, aus der du vielleicht den einen Vorschlag findest der perfekt für dein nächstes Monats Setup passt.

Wenn du dann ein Motiv gefunden hast, was dir gefällt, dann liegt es immernoch an dir in wie weit du es in dein Setup integrierst.
Ich nutze mindestens die von mir gewählte Farbe auf jeder Seite und versuche dann noch Platz für eine kleine Zeichnung zu finden.
Es wäre aber auch denkbar, dass du vielleicht auch nur eine Seite für eine schöne Zeichnung nutzt und den Rest minimalistischer gestaltest oder auf jeder Seite dein Thema groß zur Schau stellst. Das ist das tolle am Bullet Journal - du entscheidest selbst!

Und das war es auch schon. Beim Aufschreiben dieser Liste ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich vieles schon probiert habe, aber noch viel mehr ausprobieren könnte!
Ich bleibe gern bei den Motiven die ich kenne und von denen ich weiß, dass sie mir gefallen werden... Aber ich glaube es ist an der Zeit mal etwas neues auszuprobieren. Im April werde ich mir auf jeden Fall etwas aus dieser Liste aussuchen!

Today we're starting a new series on this blog. Currently I have holidays which means that I have a lot of time, to challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone (well, after a week of wallowing in my comfort zone with movies and chocolate).Especially I want to be more creative and so I created my "art challenge".
Basically this challenge is nothing new - challenging oneself to be better. And I got inspired by many videos on youtube doing different challenges regaring art.

First of all I want to start with an art style I have never touched so far. Of course, we all tried a lot of different art movements in school but even there we never tried this one. I'm talkiing about digital art or digital drawing.

I got an graphic tablet a few months ago and never tried it since then. It is so different than "normal" drawing because this tablet has no screen. So you need to change your eye-hand-coordination. And this is so difficult for me and I felt overwhelmed.

After scrolling through all these art challenge videos I found one for digital art where you have to draw yourself digital in different styles and this is exactly what I will try to do!

Let's start easily. May I present you: me as a Power Puff Girl!
These little superheros don't have any complicated body shapes or proportions, which makes it easy to start and get into it.
Moreover, you on't have to make any shadows or draw particularly detailed. The hands and legs don't have any fingers or even a reallistic form.
This little girl was perfect for the first stepp into digital drawing!

Second of all I decided to go for the style of Adventuretime.
Honestly, I have never seen an episode of this series, but I found so much about the figures on pinterest that I know how they look like and I found out a low about the typical body shapes.
For example the faces are rather ball-shaped and everything is made very simple. There is no complicated facial expression and thanks to my chosen image section I don't have to draw any hands or other limbs

Ok, now we're coming to the seriouse part. It is time for the Simpsons.
One of those series where I never missed an episode and it accompanied me through my whole childhood. Most important: the yellow skin colour, which makes every Simpson character so unique.
It wasn't that easy to find a Simpson figure wearing glasses without looking like a nerd. Of course I know that my glasses are conspicuous but I don't want to look like an idiot.
So I had to find another solution to realize the glasses I wanted to have.

Moreover, it was the first picture with a real shading to make it look more vivid. I really struggeld with that part because I don't like hard adges although the original Simpson drawing have them.
In the end I got the effect I wanted to have by using the blurring filter.

For me the most important drawing is my Pokemon Trainer. I have loved the series and I have played almost every game. I've never been the best or played it to the very end, but it means a lot to me and it is one of those games I really like to play.
Now the face got way more realistic than the first ones and especially the eyes were complicated.
Although I never wear any hats I wanted that girl to have a bandana to make it even more obviouse that she is a Pokemon Trainer.
And I thought that she should not be wearing just a bright pink shirt, so she got her jacket and a black shirt underneath to look more like a real trainer fighting against Pokemon :D

The last one has been the most difficult one: Winx.
I liked this series about fairies and in terms of art it has a unique style. It looks more feminin but edged.
The faces are elegant and I couldn't find any Winy fairy with glasses - seems like fairies have perfect eyes. And so I needed to impovise again.
All the girls have extemely long hair and I didn't want to forgo on that just because my hair is not that long.

And this is it - 5 different styles of myself and all drawn digital.
I'm so happy that I finally dared it. It took me so much time to find the perfect inspirations and implement everything how I wanted it. I had good references which made it very easy and it was not my goal to create something from scratch but I like the results. And I'm surprised that you can exactly see which one is which series.
I love it!

It was so much fun to try digital drawing and I will keep doing to get better. But now I'm excited for the next challenge and I hope you liked it as much as I did!

Heute starten wir eine kleine Serie an Blogposts. Da ich aktuell Ferien habe und dementsprechend auch etwas Zeit habe, möchte ich mich gern neuen Herausforderungen stellen - vor allem in kreativer Hinsicht. Daher ist die "Art Challenge" entstanden.
Grundsätzlich ist der Gedanke dahinter ja nichts Neues - sich selber dazu herausfordern etwas Unbekanntes auszuprobieren.

Als aller erstes möchte ich gleich mit einer Kunstrichtung befassen, mit der ich bisher noch keinerlei Berührungen hatte. Klar hat man in der Schule bereits einiges ausprobieren können, aber selbst da ist dieser Stil nicht dabei gewesen. Es geht um Digitale Kunst bzw. Digitales Zeichnen.
Ich habe vor einigen Monaten schon ein Grafic-Tablet geschenkt bekommen und mich seit dem noch nicht so richtig ans üben getraut. Es ist ganz anders als das klassische zeichnen, bei dem man genau sieht was die Spitze des Stiftes verursacht.
Das Tablet was ich habe, hat keinen Bildschirm - man zeichnet sozusagen auf dem Tablet und sieht am Bildschirm was man macht. Es ist eine ganz neue Hand-Auge-Koordination die mich anfangs sehr überfordert hat.

Auf YouTube bin ich dann vor einigen Tagen auf eine Art Challenge gestoßen, bei der man sich selbst auf verschiedenste Arten digital zeichnet und genau das probiere ich heute aus!

Skizzen für die digitalen Zeichnungen

Fangen wir ganz einfach an. Darf ich vorstellen: das bin ich als Power Puff Girl.
Die kleinen Superheldinnen haben keine komplizierten Körperformen und keinerlei realistische Proportionen, was es wesentlich leichter macht einfach anzufangen und loszulegen. Auch muss man hier keinen Schattenwurf beachten oder besonders detailliert zeichnen. Es gibt keine Hände oder Schuhe.
Es ist perfekt für den Einstieg!

Als zweites habe ich mich für den Zeichenstil von Adventuretime entschieden.
Ich habe die Serie zwar selber nie so wirklich verfolgt, aber dank pinterest kenne ich die Figuren mittlerweile ziemlich gut und habe mir ein Bild davon machen können, welche charakteristischen Merkmale jede Figur hat. So sind beispielsweise die Gesichter alle recht rund und alles ist sehr schlicht und simpel gezeichnet. Es sind immernoch keine besonders komplizierten Gesichtszüge notwendig und dank des Ausschnitts den ich für alle Gesichter gewählt habe (bis auf das Power Puff Girl), brauche ich keine Hände zeichnen.

Ok jetzt wird es etwas schwieriger. Es wird Zeit für die Simpsons.
Eine der Serien bei denen ich wohl jede einzelne Folge mindestens drei Mal gesehen habe und die mich seit meiner Kindheit begleitet. Ganz wichtig dabei: die gelbe Haut, denn das ist es was Simpsons so unverkennbar macht. Es ist tatsächlich nicht so einfach gewesen eine Figur zu finden die eine Brille trägt und nicht uralt damit aussieht oder wie ein totaler Nerd. Klar ist mein Brillengestell etwas auffälliger, aber ich möchte trotzdem nicht aussehen wie ein Idiot.
Also musste ich mir etwas einfallen lassen, wie ich die Brille umsetzen will.

Auch war es das erste Bild, was gezielte Schatten erforderte, damit die Figur plastischer aussieht. Damit hatte ich wirklich zu kämpfen, denn ich wollte keine harten Kanten, obwohl das bei den original Simpson FIguren ja teilweise nicht anders ist. Letztendlich habe ich mit einem Weichzeichenfilter den Effekt erzielen können den ich haben wollte.

Die für mich wichtigste Figur ist mein Pokemon-Trainer, da ich zum einen die Serie immer total cool fand und zum anderen so gut wie jedes Spiel auch gespielt habe. Ich bin noch nie der beste Trainer gewesen, aber es ist eins der wenigen Konsolen-Spiele die ich gerne spiele und auch immer wieder Spaß daran habe.
Hier wurde das Gesicht jetzt etwas realistischer als die bisherigen Figuren und vor allem die Augen im Manga-Stil waren ziemlich knifflig.
Obwohl ich selber so gut wie nie eine Mütze trage, konnte ich nicht darauf verzichten, denn damit wird es nochmal umso deutlicher, dass es sich bei dieser Figur um eine Pokemon Trainerin handelt.

Und um jetzt den Schwierigkeitsgrad noch etwas zu erhöhen, ist die letzte Serie Winx.
Ich fand die Serie mit den Feen früher total toll und habe sie geliebt. Zeichnerisch betrachtet ist sie vom Stil her ganz anders als alles bisherige, da alle Züge deutlich femininer und kantiger gesetzt sind.
Die Gesichtszüge sind alle sehr elegant und ich habe nicht eine einzige Winx Fee mit Brille gefunden, weshalb ich mir dafür auch wieder etwas einfallen lassen musste.
Typisch für die schönen Mädchen in der Serie sind die scheinbar unendlich langen Haare auf die ich nicht verzichten wollte, auch wenn meine eigenen Haare selten länger als bis zu den Schultern reichen.

Und damit haben wir meine ersten fünf Versuche zusammen digital zu zeichnen!
Ich bin unglaublich froh es endlich gewagt zu haben und damit meine Angst vor dem Anfangen überwunden habe.
Es hat insgesamt alles sehr lange gedauert, da ich mich in vieles erst reinfinden musste und einiges ausprobiert habe. Bei den meisten Figuren habe ich auf Vorlagen gesetzt, die ich mehr oder weniger nachgezeichnet habe und dann so abgeändert habe, dass sie mir ähnlich sehen.

Es hat mega viel Spaß gemacht und ich freue mich auf die nächste Challenge!

Another month is already over, which is why the next month of my Bullet Journal needs to be prepared. In February my Bullet Journal helped me a lot with my exams and prevented from stress. Now, all my exams are done and I need to change my system again to make it suitable for my current holidays. Therefore, I want to show you my Bullet Journal setup for march.

Because both months of 2019 had more feminine and warm colours I wanted some cooler colours, and decided for a light icy blue. To make it not to cold I chose to decorate the month with crystals.

I already did this theme once in September 2017 and thought it is time to remake this to see what differences I can implement.

Back then non of the pictures was selfmade, they were all printed out from other artists and I just decorated it with colour accents. This time I absolutely wanted to make everything by myself (which actually was a longer process than I thought it would be).

Instead of the big artwork I usually do, this months cover page is a big letter with rising crystals on the side. I found this idea on Pinterest and tried to transfer this to the uppercase M without paying attention to the kind of crystals I drew. I just wanted it to look pretty :D

Because the pages of my Leuchtturm1917 are very thin I created the monthly overview digital and printed it out. I tried to make it directly on the page but you could see the backside of the page which was awful.

For the monthly overview I chose a new structure - well, not new but not used in 2019. The vertical array is devided in Business and School, because in the middle of March my Uni will start again and I need to coordinate my Blog and my side job.

To be honest the tracker annoyed me a little bit in the end of February, because I concstantly needed to add circles or it reminded me of doing something I did not wanted to do (e.g. workouts) because I was to lazy or unmotivated.

I still like the theory of a habit tracker and the results show that it works (because I did thos annoying workouts for those annoying circles and I was proud afterwards). And I will try to use it more in March and give it a second chance. We will see whether it wourks or not and I will think about it again when preparing my Bullet Journal for April.

On the other side of this spread I placed a new overview for my blog, which I already tested in February. Unfortunately, it failed because I did not look at it as often as I should and honestly I wasn't interested in doing anything for social media.

So, this spread is filled with overviews which did both not work well in February but I will try again in March. Hopefully they will do a better job and if not I need to change something.

As you can see, I already used this week and I really liked it, because I have been using a structure like this for the last weeks. I have enough space for each day to write down all my to-do's and arrange them with priorities. Basically this page is shaped simple but to highlight the dutch door I decorated the edge with a sketch to have a little bookmark.

I'm currently so happy with those half pages, that I couldn't resist to have them in my Bullet Journal setup for March as well.

All my weekly spreads are simple and as functional as possible, to have a good use of them. So that this week also have enough space for each day, but not to much to make my to-do list limited. As long as I have holidays I try to use them to be lazy, because those are my last "holiday" as I know them and propably the last time I have nothing to do for weeks. So I try to keep those lists short., before it get seriouse again.

Although I have used this kind of spread several times, I'm still not sure whether I like it or not. Technically you have enough space for each day and I like the seperation of appointments and tasks, but on the other side the columns are very small. Nevertheless, I will use this spread in March again but with the little extra of an note section at the top.

I have used way to much sticky notes last month and couldn't find them when I needed it. This should stop now and I will try to write it all down at one place - this is what a Bullet Journal is meant to be. I hope that I can implement it.

March is the first month in 2019 I need to prepare 5 weeks for my Bullet Journal and so I went creazy with the dutch doors and made them one after another. This means that the week in the middle needs to be smaller than the others, but it looks good to me. There is no space for a sketch or any other decoration but I can see the ones from the side before and after. I don't need decoration on each and every page - this efficient and clear page also looks great.

And the last week doesn't look different to the others, but with less space for the weekdays and more for the note section. This week will be the first week of the semester and I will definitely need to structure all the new information about everything and write down long-time tasks and projects. The next months need to be prepared and for that I often write down every information on one page. On the backside I have a little planner with my timetable and the deadlines for exams and projects, but it you want to see them in detail just tell me in the comments below and I will make a new blogpost about my Bullet Journal organizations for university.

Those are my final scheduled and decorated weeks in my Bullet Journal. It took me several days to finish those pages and honestly, I had a point where I wanted to give up and leave it without sketches, but I did finish it. It looks so different than the first time I made it and I'm happy that I designed the sketches all by myself and those are my first digital sketches. I am not sure which variation looks better but it is satisying to say I made them by myself instead of it is just printed out from another artist.
