Hello sunshines!

"Those Christmas lights
Light up the street
Down where the sea and city meet
May all your troubles soon be gone
Oh Christmas lights keep shining on..."

Have you seen my post about 5 ideas for a monthly spread? Well, today I want to give you a bit more inspiration and a little step further along a little guide you can follow when you want to create your own spreads.

Today I have 5 weekly spread ideas for you.

I use these spreads almost every week and I love them. The bullet journal method is known to be flexible meaning that you can have spread created however you want them. I know people who prefer daily overviews but for me this would be too much. For me it’s perfect to have one week on one spread and that’s enough. So, I show you what’s working for me and maybe you can find inspiration for you!

This first spread is very basic. To make it easier for you to see, what my basic structure is I did almost no sketches. Instead I wrote down where I would place the sketch.
I always have a little monthly overview at the up left corner to see where I’m currently in the month. For the weekdays I just split up the pages. Usually I make a 3-4 split or 4 -3, so Monday to Thursday or Monday to Wednesday. This way I have enough space for the weekdays because I often have less to-do’s on weekends. But on spreads like this where I want to have a bigger sketch, I do 4-3 to have the space for the sketch at the bottom right corner.

Here we have the same. A monthly overview at the up left corner, but this time the space for the sketch is directly next to this. I drew a little Christmas tree to show you where, but you can place a way bigger doodle up there.
Honestly, the Monday seems to be a bit too small for my taste, but for weeks where I know I’ve less to do it would be fine. The other days have quite a lot place for everything. I’ve written the days on this line I made with my Tombow 847 and the date under the first letter.
I prefer to have both: date and weekdays, because sometimes people say: “let’s meet Thursday” and others say, “What about the 13th December?”. I know I have my monthly overview, but I just use it to get an overview about the month, not to look at it for special appointments.

And this is the third idea for a spread. Again, it has the monthly overview and it also has the sketch at the bottom right corner, but I think this one is special. This time the weekdays are among each other and the space for each day is framed by the next day.
I like this spread for weeks where I have to make sure that I do what I have to do at the day where it’s scheduled. Do you know those weeks where you have to do so much that you don’t know where to start? This is your spread! If you don’t allow yourself to skip or postpone tasks, you will see all your results at the end of the day, when everything is done.
I always use this spread for exam weeks.

weekly spread with two weeky on one spread

Ok, so now we start with the smaller spreads for less busy weeks. I just have those two because these are number 4 and 5 of our 5 weekly spread ideas, but if you want to see more, check out my November and December bullet journal setup.
For the first example I’ve written down the dates and weekdays at the left corner. I always have 2cm for each day including the name of the day and usually 4 to 5 cm width. It is not enough for tasks, but for important appointments and little reminders.
The tasks are written down in a master-to-do-list in the middle of the page. You just write down everything you have to do and then you work through. If you want to have priorities, you can highlight them or use special symbols such as stars or exclamation marks.

On the right side it is the same principle but back-to-front. So, the days are at the right corner (again 2cm each) and the rest of the page is for notes. You can use the bottom of the page to add any sketch or doodle you want. This would also look nice if you add watercolour or other creative decoration.
To be honest, these spreads are not made for busy weeks. If you have much to do and you want to stay organised, a master-to-do-list can get to overwhelming. I prefer my daily to-do’s, but for holiday or less stressful weeks this is amazing! It saves you unused pages and keeps you on track in terms of your tasks, because you see the not-done to-do’s.

And this is it! 5 ideas of how you can draw your next weekly spread. If you have any other idea or inspiration, feel free to tell me in the comments below. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hello sunshine!

“Sleigh bells ring, are you listening
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland..."

Today it is all about bullet journaling again! The end of the year is getting closer and you might think about starting the setup for 2019. As I have described in my blogpost about how to start a bullet journal, I have a monthly spread every month. And sometimes it can get boring to have the same spread just in different colours. Because of this I want to show you

5 different monthly spread ideas.

Just a little side note: All spreads are created in a festive design, but you can rearrange them with any design you want. I just wanted it to fit in the theme and decorate it a little bit.

The first three spreads always include 2 pages. It is perfect for busy months and to split of topics. This time I split it in personal and school.
I have many personal appointments in December such as birthdays, the Christmas dinner I’m hosting and other Christmas parties, but December has also been the month of all assignments. So, it is useful to have one page for school or business appointments, whatever you need, and one page for personal dates. But be careful: take a look at both while making appointments!
It would be not helpful at all if you have no more space left on both sides, because then you might not be able to get to every appointment. So, don’t settle days twice!

monthly spread with squares

If you have seen my December setup, this is a bigger version of the monthly page!
I love this spread for month where I have a lot to remember but don’t need to split it up as in the first version. Most of the times I’m using 2.5cm x 3.5cm squares but you can make them what size you want.
As you can see the 31st December is sharing one square with the 24th because I don’t want an extra row with just one date. But you could also add it to the first row, because there are only two dates.
Using this spread you have space on the side where you can add whatever you want. It could be perfect for a to-do list or goals for this month or just a quote as I did.

monthly overview idea

Honestly, I have never ever used a spread like this before. I found this idea on pinterest while searching for other spread ideas and I really like it. It is not made for busy months, because you don’t have the space to add that many appointments, but it looks cute.
Everything you need to do is write down the numbers and the weekday on top of it, color in the weekends and then you’re ready! You can draw a line to the date where you want to schedule something. Probably you could make the space between each number bigger than I did, because now I have lots of white at this page, which could be used more effectively.
I think it looks prettier with straight lines and a little dot at the end of the line, but this is just because it looks like little baubles.

This is my go-to monthly spread. I used it for my November bullet journal setup. It is so easy and effective! You write down the dates and weekdays in the middle of the page, frame it or not, and then you can add a category of each side. This time the left side is personal and right side is work.
It is the same principle as in the first spread but shortened to one page. To not lose track of your appointments, you can highlight the weekends as I did or draw a thin line after each week.
Using this one-page-spread I make sure that I don’t have too much to do, because I cannot schedule more than I have space. It is good at the one side but at the other, some days you have to do more than one thing and then the rows can be too small. Just to let you know.

And this is the final spread which is pretty close to the fourth, but with the difference that this time the numbers are on the left side and little abbreviations are added for the dates.
With these pages you have less room to add sketches or quotes, but I did in the work part at the end of the month, because I have holiday since the 8th December and I won’t do anything in the last weeks of the year, so there will be no entries anyway.

And those are my 5 favourite monthly spreads. Next time you’re looking for inspiration to draw your bullet journal month, you can come back and take a look at it again. I’m sure I will do, because I always struggle to find the perfect-size spread and here you have some for busy months and some for more relaxed ones.
I hope you liked this post and I’ll see you tomorrow for the next #blogmas post.

Hello sunshine!

"Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace..."

I hope you enjoyed the first week of #blogmas. We are right in the middle of December and Christmas is comming closer and closer, and because of this I have

5 page bullet journal page ideas for Christmas for you!

Honestly, I love it to read blogposts like this and I hope you will mine. I want to show you pages, to have less stress and stay organized during the festive time, because I know that it can be busy. As for all #blogmas pages I have used my Tombow 847 red and black fineliner to create the pages.

Present ideas and wishlist spread

Present ideas
This page is one of those I needed first! During the year I have so many present ideas and when it come to Christmas everyone seems unimaginative in terms of wished. But when you listen to them before the stressful "what-do-you-want-for-Christmas"-inquiry starts, they often tell you what they want. Even if it is a little I love this tea or my pens run out of color those are hints. And I have been collecting them on my phone but I'm glas I have a page now where I can write down everything for everyone.

wishlist
Same problem when it comes to me: when everyone starts asking, I have no idea what to tell then to give me. I don't know whether it is polite or not but I like to have an answer. And honestly it is better to get something you want than something that you will not touch for months.
Somethimes it feels like we live in a society where it is fashionable to have no wishes, but let's be honest: I'm just a student and I don't have much money. I have houndrets of wishes! But I don't want my friends to pay them for me, because I want to achieve this by myself. But the smaller ones such as new watercolor or a new bullet journal (which I already got), I would be so happy to get!

Christmas dinner menu & shopping list and present tracker spread

Christmas dinner page
This year is the first time me and my boyfriend are hosting Christmas! And I'm so excited! I want it to be cosy, delicious and relaxed afternoon with my family... but it needs to be planned. Because I don't want to be one of those creazy ladys whopping all ingredients in the morning of the 24th (we're celebrating on the evening of 24th of December!)
So I already planned the menu of lunch and dinner as well as the cake for in between - in case anybody is already hungry :D
And I created a shopping list I could follow to not be forced to go to a supermarket on the 24th!
I really hope that I have everything considered :D

present tracker page

Present tracker
I know technically this would be better to be right behind the present ideas, but I forgot to make it when I drew the ideas list and when I got the first presents I made a mistake... I bought three presents for one person, thought I'm doing good and then I realized that I have nothing for all the other 8 persons left. So I created this tracker.
It includes •ideas •budget •bought •wrapped
So I'm ticking it when I have an idea for this person on my list, set a budget and ticking further if I bought it and wrapped it. I think I might add • given away so that I don't forget to give it to the person. Trust me, it can happen that you forget a present it the hindmost corner of the drawer!

that was my 2018 spread

That was my 2018
It's the second time that I'm doing this page and I love to fill it in. It is a little recap of my year 2018 and I haven't written down everything so far, because I am not sure of what will happen in the last month and so I wait for the last week of December to fill it in. But I already have ideas in it written with pencil. It is my most beautiful day, my best present, my most exciting adventure, my most embarrassing moment, my biggest achievement, my best investment, my nicest meeting and At the end of the day 2018 was...
I loved to read last years text when I made this page and I think this year I have great stories to write about!

What about you? What would you write in such a page and what are your essential christmas pages in your bullet journal? let me know in the comments below! :)
